Pencil and GDPR
Pencil is designed to minimise data processing. Teachers have accounts. Students do not. No student data is collected by the platform directly.
Student data advice
Teachers should avoid entering personally identifiable student information into the platform. Use descriptions such as a Year 4 student with dyslexia rather than a student name.
Data Processing Agreement
A signed DPA is available on request. Email schools@vicerta.com with your school name and number of users.
AI model training
Pencil does not use any teacher-generated content or student information to train AI models. Your data is never shared with other users.
